Murrell Counseling Service, LLC - Consulting, Evaluations & Therapy
Our clinic wishes to honor the men and women veterans who now serve and who have served in the United States Military.  There is no other group of individuals that we are more proud of than our service members and veterans.  We wish to extend our thanks and gratitude that you put yourself in harms way and your very lives at risk to protect our nation and the principles for which it stands.  There has never been a time in history when we were more indebted to these brave men and women for their courage to volunteer to take whatever risks are necessary for the preservation of this country.

Thanks so very much,

Michael Murrell, Psy. D.

Our clinic offers counseling for PTSD, anxiety, depression and relationship training.  We use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (E.M.D.R.) as well as Cognitive Behavioral Training (C.B. T.) as part of our treatment.  Our clinic accepts Tri-Care, Medicare, Medicaid and some forms of insurance as payment.  Please let us know if you can help you or a loved one in their time of need.  We offer flexible hours and weekly or bi-weekly visits to be arranged at your convenience.  All of our staff have been in the military.  Dr. Michael Murrell was a medic in the Army, Dr. Jeff Maloney was a commander in the Navy, and Mr. Timothy Blanton was a M.P in the United States Air Force.

Many veterans are served by the Veteran's Administration (V.A.) and find that their needs are well met in the various clinics in the area around Southwest Missouri.  However, due to the Sequestration process that has been downsizing the military over the past several years, the V.A. has been overwhelmed by the demand for physical and mental health services for the veterans.  As a result there have been long wait times for veterans, service members, that have delayed their ability to get help in a timely fashion.  Many veterans have chosen to find private physicians and psychologists to work with because of their ready availability.  Our clinic takes Tri-Care and Tri-Care West so that veterans can get into see a psychologist for weekly and biweekly visits without having to travel extreme distances or endure long wait time.  Please call our office for more information.
